New Year Activity

 

My 3 years-old niece was hoding the microphone to sing while the other were dancing behind her, during Khmer New Year in 2009. Though she cannot sing, but she can repeate after the singer and it sound really nice. Karaoke is the one of the most popular thing for Cambodian to do during their free time. It is not only fun for the young people, but also the old people. It is one way to release their strees. Everyone should try to sing if you have strees, it is fun.

 

 

Cambodia have one traditional game call “Hit the Khmer Jar(the things in this picture)”. It is one of the most popular game among many others that Cambodian like to play during the Khmer New Year. Mostly, we put something in the jar such as, money, candy, powder, or water. You can use the stick to hit the jar which is hanging on. If you can broke it, it mean you win the game and everything in the jar will become yours. My father was preparing all these thing for people to play. It is good if you have chance to play this traditional game.
